We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at Kensington Design. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the financial success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
– Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements.
– Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
– Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow reporting.
– Invoice Management: Prepare, verify, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
– Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring budgets and analysing variances between actual and budgeted figures.
– Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
– General Ledger Maintenance: Support the maintenance of the general ledger by posting and reviewing journal entries.
– Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for management review.
– Data Entry & Analysis: Accurately input financial data into the accounting system and conduct basic financial analysis as required.
– Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Tally and Xero.
– Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
– Office Hours: 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday. Please note that working hours may vary according to business needs, including extended hours as required.
– Salary: Dependent on experience.
