Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant located in Dubai. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves collaborating with other departments to support financial planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Tax and Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
General Ledger Maintenance:
Monitor and review general ledger accounts, making adjustments as needed.
Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes and recommend improvements.
Administrative Support:
Assist with financial planning and analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the car rental or automotive industry is a plus.
Fluency in multiple languages is beneficial.
