We are looking for a Senior Accountant with 4-5 years of experience in the UAE who possesses a strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax, and financial accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
· Manage the VAT filing process, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely submission of returns.
· Handle corporate tax matters, including tax planning, preparation of tax returns, and liaising with tax authorities.
· Conduct regular internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
· Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes, including investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
· Stay updated on changes in UAE tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to the management team.
· Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
· 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on UAE taxation and financial reporting.
· Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience in VAT filing.
· Proficiency in corporate tax laws and experience in tax planning and compliance.
· Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
· Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Zoho, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
