We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team in Sharjah. As an integral member of our finance department, you will be responsible for a range of financial activities specific to the construction industry. Your main duties will include:
Preparation of Financial Statements: Accurately prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
VAT Filing: Manage VAT compliance and filing processes, ensuring adherence to UAE tax regulations.
Petty Cash Handling: Safeguard and efficiently manage petty cash transactions, with meticulous record-keeping.
Oversea Procurement: Oversee procurement activities, including international transactions and vendor relationships, while optimizing cost-efficiency.
Documentation for External Audit: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for external audits, collaborating closely with auditors as necessary.
Documenting for Bank Facilities: Maintain thorough documentation related to bank facilities, loans, and credit lines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in a similar role as accountant, have relevant experience in United Arab Emirates, preferably within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and the ability to meet deadlines.
