Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for our Food and Beverage sector. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Analyze financial data and present reports to management for decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial trends and variances.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
Compliance and Taxation:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
Team Collaboration:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial analysis and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA preferred).
4-5 yrs of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
