Our client in food and beverages industry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to join their team. Your main responsibilities will include supervising and supporting the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, assisting with daily operations, and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including waitstaff, hosts/hostesses, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service, professionalism, and a positive work ethic.
Train and onboard new employees, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the restaurant’s policies, procedures, and standards.
Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the restaurant.
Coordinate and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient service, timely food preparation, and accurate order fulfilment.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage and adherence to labor budget.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest’s satisfaction.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability.
Maintain inventory levels, including food, beverages, and supplies, and assist in placing orders as needed.
Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
Assist in training staff on menu offerings, promotions, and any changes to the restaurant’s offerings.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, including food presentation, portion control, and overall guest experience.
Assist in conducting performance evaluations for staff, providing feedback, and identifying opportunities for development.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors, making recommendations for improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive experiences for guests.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, food handling procedures, and sanitation standards.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and tact.
Proficiency in using restaurant technology, such as MICROS systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant certifications or a degree in hospitality management is a plus
