Responsible forĀ managing the employee life cycle (i.e., recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and firing employees) and administering employee benefits.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
o Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
o Managing the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment offer letter, issuing contracts etc.
o Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the department Managers.
o Prepares files documents into appropriate employee files.
o Prepares new-employee files.
o Prepares Job description.
o Process payroll.
o Conduct disciplinary actions.
o Assist supervisors in performance management procedures.
o Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
o Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
o Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires.
o Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
o Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback.
o Formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management.
o Reconciles benefits statements.
o Assists with processing of terminations.
o Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
o Processes mail.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in human resources or related.
2 years of experience as an HR coordinator .
Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Effective HR administration and people management skills.
Exposure to payroll practices.
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
