The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing specialist consultation to the company’s management team on strategic staffing plans, training initiatives, development schemes and remuneration packages. You will be working to create a vision and execute a people strategy that brings competitive advantage to the regional organisation you support. You will be expected to manage personnel, ensuring the human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient and aligned to the overall business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Manage the recruitment and selection process
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain pay plan and benefits programs
Report to management and use HR indicators to assist in human capital decision-making
Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor regulations
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Skills and Knowledge
A high level of communication skills is required in order to interact with all levels of management and to direct the work of others
Strategic thinking and innovation are required to develop systems and processes and other HRIS tools that support the business
Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and creative problem-solving skills
Team player with strong ability to build and maintain relationships
Qualifications And Experience
Degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 6 – 10years of experience in similar position
Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR leadership role
People oriented and results driven
Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
Knowledge of HR systems and databases
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
