Accountant Required in Dubai
Novomet Middle East FZE, part of the global Novomet Group, is a leading international manufacturer of oilfield equipment and Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems. As part of our expansion in the UAE, we are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support the full financial operations of our manufacturing facility.
This is a key role with direct exposure to manufacturing finance, costing, budgeting, and IFRS reporting in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain complete accounting records for the manufacturing facility, including revenue, purchases, payments, and operating expenses.
Prepare and issue customer invoices.
Perform quarterly reconciliations with customers and suppliers; resolve discrepancies.
Process payroll accounting, including leave accruals and employee-related provisions.
Execute monthly and annual closings and prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements.
Lead audit coordination, including documentation preparation and liaison with external auditors.
Costing, Budgeting & Financial Analysis
Support implementation and enhancement of cost accounting in the ERP system.
Develop and maintain standard product costs based on BOM, labor, and overhead allocations.
Analyze actual vs. standard production costs and identify variance drivers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.
Prepare annual budgets, monthly plan-vs-actual analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet), and cash flow forecasts.
Provide continuous support on cost control, budgeting, and financial performance monitoring.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, costing, budgeting, variance analysis, and IFRS reporting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Experience with Big 4 audit firms is a strong advantage.
