Key Accountabilities:
Work closely with various businesses and engineering teams to own all PLM administration activities including change management, upgrades, testing, user feedback, and day-to-day operational activities
Represent the PLM implementation in the Business Systems Department
Ensure PLM is developed in line with end user requirement; provide front line user support of PLM functionality and data availability to end users
Ensure the PLM system is operational 24×7 (unless scheduled maintenance) and the upgraded version of windchill is maintained from time to time
Maintain, execute and troubleshoot PLM-ERP interface and ensure technical issues resolved in a timely manner
Administer the PLM Toolset (PTC Windchill) including definition of workflows, attributes, user rights, etc.
Maintain a primary contact within the engineering design organisation for the PLM toolset and all the interfaces to that toolset, supporting the team
Act as the primary point of contact between HALCON and PLM toolset supplier/ external PLM implementation partner
Maintain process and documentation for PLM change package releases
Document and propose improvements to PLD data model and ERP interface
Cooperate closely with the ERP Administrator and Configuration Management Manager to ensure efficient and accurate data and work flow between these Business Systems
Ensure all design, simulations and calculation tools are connected to our PLM system to allow seamlessly integrated workflows for our development teams
Maintain documentation for Windchill system configurations, enhancements, and modifications
Stay current with the latest developments in PLM technology and implement improvements where beneficial
Develop PLM training material, prepare instructions and user guides and provide training sessions to the end users
Ensure that all processes and workflows are applied correctly
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Advanced degrees or IT certifications are preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT management, with specific experience in Windchill PLM system administration, CAD/PLM Administration with a focus on Creo Parametric, Solid Works, Altium, Windchill and SAP integration a distinct advantage
Preferably in the precision-guided munition industry
In-depth knowledge of Windchill PDMLink, MPMLink and/or other Windchill modules
Familiarity with regulations and compliance in the munition industry
Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
Key Skills:
Knowledge of best practices, engineering standards, procedures and applications practices within the defence industry
Solid experience in the adaptation, customisation and use of PLM and ERP systems
Thorough understanding of the systems engineering process, baseline establishment and change control
Troubleshooting
Technical leadership skills
Building and managing relations
Communicating and influencing (with technical and non-technical personnel, as well as service providers)
Customer focus (Development Engineering, Product Management, Production Management)
Attention to detail
Familiarity with various software development processes
