Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager with expertise in ERP implementation and projects management, particularly within the retail industry in the UAE and GCC region. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of an ERP system and managing various technology projects within our organization. Your in-depth knowledge of ERP systems, project management methodologies, and retail operations will be critical in driving efficiency, streamlining processes, and enhancing overall business performance.
Responsibilities:
ERP Implementation:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of an ERP system, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and business processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including department heads, to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop a comprehensive implementation plan.
Manage the vendor selection process, negotiate contracts, and oversee the vendor relationship to ensure project deliverables are met.
Coordinate with internal teams to configure, customize, and test the ERP system to meet business needs.
Conduct thorough training sessions for end-users, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post-implementation.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ERP system, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor technology projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective collaboration.
Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive measures to address potential issues and minimize disruptions.
Regularly communicate project progress, updates, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management.
Retail Operations and Process Enhancement:
Leverage your retail industry expertise to assess current operations and identify areas for improvement.
Work closely with business units to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize the utilization of technology solutions.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in retail operations and ERP systems.
Team Leadership:
Lead an IT team, inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve their full potential. This includes strong communication and interpersonal skills, setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (+5 years) in ERP implementation and project management, preferably within the retail sector.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc., with hands-on experience in implementation.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex technology projects, from initiation to successful completion.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Proactive and result-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
