Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, in accordance with GCC SERVICES’ standards and clients’ needs
Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide exceptional service and meet client expectations
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for daily operations
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling and storage
Regularly clean and maintain equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
Assist with menu planning, recipe development and other related tasks as needed
Keep abreast of industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve the quality of the pastry department’s operations
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role
Knowledge of pastry arts, ingredients, and techniques
Ability to follow recipes and prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread from scratch
Experience with large quantity and customized orders
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Diploma or degree in pastry arts or a related field preferred
