Our client is searching for an experienced Accountant to join their team in Dubai. With a track record of over 5 years in the field, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and monitoring cash flow.
Month-end and Year-end Closures: Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filing and compliance with local tax regulations.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Communication: As required, liaison with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Required Skillsets:
Accounting Expertise: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting roles, showcasing a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
Software Proficiency: Using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in managing financial records, reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and propose solutions.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local accounting standards and tax regulations in Dubai.
