Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emarati Accountant to join our team. As an Emarati Accountant, you will be responsible for handling financial and accounting tasks in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards. Your primary role will involve managing financial records, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate financial transactions for our organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis. Ensure compliance with Emarati accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring proper recording of all financial transactions, and reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies or errors.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients and vendors to resolve any outstanding issues.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze actual performance against budgeted targets and provide insightful reports on variances.
Taxation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Emarati tax laws and regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and timely.
Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and financial information. Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management to support decision-making.
Banking and Cash Management: Manage bank accounts, handle cash flow, and initiate fund transfers as required. Optimize cash management practices to maximize interest earnings and minimize banking costs.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring they are easily accessible for audit purposes and management review.
Financial Software: Utilize accounting software effectively to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.
Compliance and Ethics: Uphold the highest ethical standards in all financial dealings and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Emarati National: Must be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) are advantageous.
Experience: Proven work experience as an Accountant, with at least [X] years of experience in accounting and financial management. Experience in a relevant industry or sector is a plus.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Emarati accounting standards and tax regulations. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is desirable.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy and precision in financial reporting and record-keeping.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and other financial tools.
Integrity: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting ethically in all financial matters.
