Key Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
To develop retail, HORECA and Distribution sales channel to drive the growth of the business.
Plan and recommend business development and marketing strategies to achieve maximum customer and market penetration consistent with ECO’s financial objectives and to drive tactical and strategic growth.
Seek out and source new revenue opportunities in local, regional and (where appropriate) export markets by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for meeting sales and business development objectives.
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities;
Develop innovative sales plans, prepare sales forecasts and budgets and implement multi-year business development strategy.
Manage the day-to-day sales activities of account management and customer care to achieve ECO sales targets through profitable business relationships
Manage the Business Development team with highest level of performance management with a goal oriented approach to achieve assigned targets by maintain and developing current customer base and growing the channel through recruitment of relevant operators.
Provide ongoing support to clients by communicating and conducting visits to ensure all issues are actioned and business relationships are maintained
Develop negotiating strategies and negotiate terms of sales / agreements with existing and new clients that will maximise the organisation’s business interests and service excellence. Evaluate success rates and business development.
Manage sales support activities such as sales administration, customer service, invoicing to ensure that customer orders are processed, dispatched and accurately invoiced and on time.
Resolve revenue collection issues to ensure cash flow of ECO is maintained
Manage CRM database and use market insights on the pipeline, open quotes, new opportunities, recent activities and lost sale strategically to deliver business value.
Research market in order to discover new trends, lead projects for insights generation, market segmentation, sizing, growth and therefore identifying key market opportunities. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends to recommend insights, foresights and channel understanding.
Building and manage a team of e-commerce professionals that can effectively help develop and execute innovative and new to market products and services. Participate in thought leadership, innovation and process optimization initiatives such as implementing new technology, venturing into new markets and other industry best practices.
Design and implement go-to-market plans for continuous enhancement of our product portfolio, while also building attainable and measurable metrics for success based on the plans.
Contact our partners & customers on a daily basis, to maintain an accurate understanding of their inventory, needs, and opportunities.
Employ strong knowledge of key industry players, competitors and market dynamics.
Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and seasonal sourcing opportunities.
Develop effective negotiation strategies to enable successful sales of both spot and programmed business.
Leverage effective business and professional relationships with strategic industry players.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Preference for a degree qualification.
Additional courses in Business Management or Administration will be an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales
Experience of FMCG or produce preferred
Experience in leading a team in a fast paced, customer focused environment
Experience managing product innovation funnels and implementing go to market strategies
Experience in costing, customer influence, and management with a proven record in delivering value add premium products
Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to keep multiple client engagements active at once
Proficient with numbers and financial analysis and proven ability to meet budget targets
