Accountant Required in Dubai

This is a hands‑on position ideal for a detail‑driven Senior Accountant who enjoys analysing large data sets, interrogating accounts, and ensuring balance sheet accuracy. You’ll play a critical role in preparing the business for audit, ensuring entries are correct and fully validated.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed account analysis and prepare order reconciliation schedules.
Review accounting system entries and transfer data to Excel for deeper investigation.
Analyse transactions thoroughly—beyond copy/paste—to identify errors, anomalies, and trends.
Ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts across multiple entities and currencies.
Review and reconcile cross‑currency and international VAT transactions.
Support audit preparation by ensuring all data is validated and compliant.
Liaise with operational and finance teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
Provide ongoing insights to improve data quality and financial controls.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

Strong accounting background, ideally at Senior Accountant level.
Proven experience in account analysis and balance sheet investigation.
Excellent Excel capability (data slicing, reconciliation, analysis).
Experience with cross‑currency or international transaction environments.
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
Comfortable working at pace in a multi‑country, high‑volume setting.

Nice to Have / Advantageous

Experience supporting audit preparation or working with auditors.
Exposure to international VAT (not as a tax expert, but in reviewing VAT-related transactions).
Background in a company trading internationally (imports/exports).
Experience with mid‑market or enterprise accounting systems.
