We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to accounting in Real Estate and Construction.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, performing internal and statutory audits, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial reports.
Responsibilities:
* Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
* Reconcile account balances and bank statements.
* Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures.
* Manage records of all incomes, expenses, financial transactions, cash flow, bank deposits, VAT filings, and corporate tax activities.
* Perform internal audits and coordinate statutory audits.
* Prepare financial documents, including regular performance statements and financial reports.
* Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable, process monthly payroll, perform bank reconciliations, calculate tax payments and returns, and other related duties.
* Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
* Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
* Liaise with managers to improve financial procedures.
* Provide accurate information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of the business.
* Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports reflecting the state of the business.
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of professional accounting experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
* Relevant certification such as CA/CPA/CFA is preferred.
* Familiarity with UAE accounting and tax regulations, and VAT filing procedures.
* Proficiency in financial accounting statements.
* Experience with information systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
* Advanced MS Excel skills.
* Experience in top auditing firms is preferred.
* Aptitude for numbers and strong quantitative skills.
* Fluency in English.
* Experience in Real Estate Development companies is preferred.
