I am delighted to be partnering with a leading player in the logistics / freight forwarding industry to find their next HR Director. This is a regional level role with some international travel required. This is a brilliant opportunity to make an impact in a large HR function!
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies with a strong focus on Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Data Protection, and Automation.
Drive initiatives to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and implement robust measures to safeguard employee data and privacy.
Champion automation initiatives within HR processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
Strategically transition the HR function towards a business partnering model, establishing HR as a strategic partner to the business.
Promote self-service HR solutions to empower employees and managers and enhance the overall HR service delivery model.
Partner closely with regional stakeholders to understand business priorities and align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive professional growth and development.
Collaborate with global HR counterparts to share best practices, leverage synergies, and ensure alignment with global HR strategies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR leader in the Logistics / Freight Forwarding / Shipping industry or a related field.
Strong understanding of regional HR practices and regulations in the Middle East and Africa.
Demonstrated expertise in driving Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, implementing data protection measures, and leveraging automation in HR processes.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive organizational change.
Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in transitioning HR towards a business partnering model and promoting self-service HR solutions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong team leadership and development skills, with a commitment to cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
