Company Overview:
We are a rapidly expanding global holding company acquiring B2B software companies worldwide, particularly in the US and Europe. We are seeking a talented Accountant to join our growing FP&A team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Oversee and manage financial operations for our portfolio of B2B software companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Accounting and Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns. Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize financial performance.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Implement best practices and internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
Qualifications:
Professional Certification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Inter Chartered Accountant (ICA) certification required.
Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards. Proven experience in bank reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
SaaS Experience: Previous experience in the SaaS (Software as a Service) industry preferred. Familiarity with subscription-based revenue models, SaaS metrics, and related accounting principles is highly desirable.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero for financial management and reporting. Experience with payment processing platforms like Stripe is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends. Experience in financial modeling and forecasting is advantageous.
Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local and international tax regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in managing tax obligations for multinational companies is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
Location: Based in Dubai, with the flexibility to travel occasionally as needed.
