Responsibilities
Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and client accounts.
Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying clients.
Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply.
Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
Preparation of Fixed Asset Report.
Support other Jr. Accountants and other team members.
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) as an Accountant, preferably with experience in a senior role.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards
applicable tax regulations.
Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems for accounting and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close.
Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
