As a Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and controlling expenses within the hotel. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor costs across various departments, analyze financial data, and implement strategies to optimize expenditures while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly review and analyze financial information to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. Identify areas of excessive spending and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of various departments, monitor stock movement, and conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies. Coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Financial Reporting
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Excellent knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel.
